Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy consists of finding what skill level someone has musically, and creating and implementing goals to improve that skill level to a place where they are confident in their ability to play/sing. I like to create big overall goals with them first and then break that into smaller attainable goals that can be measured in an achievable amount of time within that larger goal. I also believe that in the process of achieving those goals, we practice healthy music techniques.

Get to know Ms. Hall

Hello! My name is Ms. Hall and I am super excited to join the music teacher team at Music and Arts here in Charlottesville!

A little about me: I actually grew up here in Charlottesville and went to Albemarle High School. Graduated from JMU in 2020 with a Music Education degree, concentration in vocal ed. I grew up playing piano and singing in choir and eventually want to be a choir teacher, but for now I am teaching guitar and piano at AHS!

In my free time, I love to jam out on the guitar or piano and sing, read, and work out! I also love to watch movies and tv shows!  I am excited to begin teaching people how to sing and play piano and am experienced in improving people's voices and their piano playing skills!

Again, so excited for what's to come!
