About Ainsley McGray

Ainsley McGray is a multi-award winning singer/songwriting and pianist who has been teaching music in the D.C. area for the past 20 years. She began writing music at age four and was classically trained on both piano and voice. She started teaching piano on the side while getting her degree at UMD which ultimately turned into her main job. Ainsley released her first mainstream album "Dream Again" in 2018 which helped her earn a nomination for Maryland's best new artist in the Maryland Music Awards. Ainsley specializes in observing how each student learns and tailoring her lesson to their specific needs. Her goal is to make her students fall in love with music and learn the skills to speak it so well that they do for the rest of their lives.
