About Alec Chasin

Hello future students and parents!

My name is Alec Chasin and I have been studying music for 12 years. I graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in music education and concentrated on instrumental band. I mainly play clarinet and guitar, but I also play bass guitar, saxophone, flute, and piano. Something I have found over the course of my education is that great musicians practice technique and fundamentals with structure and rigor, but also find time to play music they truly love. As your teacher, I will help you learn your favorite songs, create and set practice goals, and provide you with theory knowledge and technique work relevant to the songs we are working on. 

I do have experience with NYSSMA tutoring at all levels and AP music theory as well.
