Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is to help my students become not just better instrumental players, but better overall musicians. This will be achieved by the use of a mixture of technical and melodic method books, making the student a well-rounded musician.

Get to know Alec Parker

Alec Parker is a classical trumpet player, currently a junior at Western Connecticut State University, where he is studying to get his B.S in Music Education. He has teaching experience as he currently teaches the brass section at the Norwalk High School Marching Band in Norwalk CT, he has been teaching there since the Summer of 2018. As a performer Alec has played in the WCSU Jazz Orchestra where he had the opportunity to play with Jazz bass legend Ron Carter, WCSU Jazz Ensemble and the WCSU Symphonic Band. He currently studies with principal trumpet player of the New Haven Symphony Rich Clymer. Alec wants to immerse his students into the world of music while providing a positive and memorable experience while offering a fun and musical environment!
