About Alex Calabrese

Alex Calabrese is a seasoned musician and educator with over 13 years of diverse experience in the music industry. He began his career in 2012 as a Guitar Teacher, providing structured and engaging lessons to students aged 8 to 35. His teaching emphasizes the fundamentals of guitar and songwriting, fostering creativity, confidence, and a deep appreciation for music in his students.

Since 2012, Alex has also worked as an Independent Music Professional, managing the day-to-day operations of an independent band. He planned and managed tours across the United States and Canada, covering approximately 30,000-40,000 miles per year. During his time with the band, Alex played a crucial role in the release of four full-length albums, three EPs, and numerous singles. His direct work and collaborations have been featured in prominent publications such as Rolling Stone, No Depression, The Boot, Ear Milk, and more.

From 2020 to 2023, Alex served as a Music Teacher and Administrator at Apple Tree Arts in Grafton, Massachusetts, where he taught group classes and workshops focused on guitar and songwriting. Beyond teaching, he contributed to the development of educational programs and supported administrative operations, helping the organization grow and expand its reach.

Alex's musical journey also includes his time as a Singer/Guitarist with the band Old Fox from 2018 to 2020, where he honed his performance and collaborative skills.

With a passion for both music and education, Alex continues to inspire and mentor aspiring musicians, creating opportunities for them to explore their musical potential. Based in Greater Boston, he remains dedicated to helping others grow as musicians and share his experience with the next generation.
