About Alex Dudkin

Get to know Alex Dudkin
Alex is currently a senior studying Music Performance at the University of Maryland. He picked up the clarinet in 4th grade, and has been playing it for over 14 years ever since. He has also been teaching clarinet privately for over 7 years. Some of his mentors over the years include: Sidney Forrest, Lawrence Bocaner, Laura Grantier, and Robert Dilutis. During his time in high school, Alex participated in Maryland All County/State Bands, and was the principal clarinetist of the Capitol Symphony Youth Orchestra. At University of Maryland, in addition to performing solo/chamber works, Alex participates in the school's wind orchestra and marching band. He has played under conductors/composers such as Michael Votta, H. Robert Reynolds, Col. Jason Fettig, Steve Hackman, and more. Alex hopes to share his love for music and the clarinet to his students for generations to come.
