About Alex Lalumondiere

Alex Lalumondiere is a Clarinet Performance major at Shepherd University, in Shepherdstown West Virginia. He is the principal clarinetist in Shepherd’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. He studies clarinet with David Drosinos, the principal clarinetist and soloist with the Maryland Lyric Opera. At shepherd University, he is also studying saxophone with Jeremy Koch, the Principal Saxophonist of the United States Air Force Band. A native of Virginia, Alex graduated from Skyline High School in Front Royal where his love for music began. He was the principal clarinetist for the high school’s concert band for four years, participated in solo-and-ensemble, district band, and competed in marching band. In addition to music, he is also pursuing a minor in Psychology.
