About Alex Rise

Hi! I'm Al. I started teaching at Music & Arts in July 2019.

I have been performing and teaching brass instruments for nearly a decade, both during and following my own education post high school. I recieved a BM with a focus in Brass Instruments at the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2015, and an MM with a focus in Brass Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Maryland in 2017.

I currently balance my time between performing and teaching, here are a few of the musical groups that I perform with:

• Chesapeake youth symphony orchestra
• Maryland Youth orchestra
