Get to know Lexi Delgado
After joining choir for the first time in 7th grade, Alexis Delgado fell in love with vocal music and knew it would be their future. Alexis’ relationship with music began at age 7 when they started piano lessons and throughout high school picked up bass and guitar. Alexis picked up 6 years of experience playing keyboard and singing for multiple rock bands performing at Angel Stadium, NAMM, and for Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley of KISS. They recorded keyboard and vocals for indie rock band, Bedside Pineapple’s debut EP released in April of 2020. After graduating high school in 2018, Alexis discovered a love for opera and is now currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance at San Jose State University. While in San Jose, Alexis has sung backup for Josh Groban’s “Bridges” Tour (2019) and has performed in SJSU’s production of Leonard Bernstein’s “Mass” (2019) and as Lucy Brown in SJSU’s virtual production of Threepenny Opera (2020). Along with performing, Alexis has competed in the SFBAC-NATS Classical Voice Competition, placing 2nd in the lower college division (2020) and 3rd in the upper college division (2021).
