Performance Experience: As a child, I participated in many local and regional competitions, community orchestras, and Spoleto Festival Youth Orchestra (an international art festival).
Received music scholarships for Brevard Music Center, Governor’s School for the Arts and The College of Charleston.
I have enjoyed solo performances in churches, weddings, and various paid gigs.
Teaching Experience: I began teaching in high school and have since enjoyed working with all ages.
Teaching Philosophy: Students should find joy and have fun playing an instrument. I love to see students progress and be proud of their accomplishments. I encourage celebration of this at each lesson.
I believe the study and enjoyment of the arts has a crucial place in creative development.

My love of music has been a part of my life through playing instruments, dance, singing, and even performing in theater. I’m fortunate to be able to teach others, of all ages, how to make a joyful noise.
