Performance Experience: Drew has performed original and cover songs in numerous bands at festivals, clubs, weddings and private functions.
Teaching Experience: Drew has taught private music lessons for 30 years, and middle school band for 10 years.
Teaching Philosophy: Music is such a blast, lessons should be fun! I have searched long and hard to find interesting lesson materials, and when I couldn't find what I was looking for, I created them. I love sharing my appreciation of music with my students and seeing where it takes them.
Get to know Drew Adler
Drew is a songwriter, singer, guitarist who has played in bands in both Boston, Massachusetts and Charlottesville Virginia. "My music education at Berklee, as well as at Hampshire College where I studied with Professor Roland Wiggins, set me up well. I'm able to teach different styles of music, create and transpose parts, and write charts for my band-mates and students. I teach rock, pop, and world music styles on guitar and bass, as well as ukulele."
