About Andrew Blasdell

Andrew has been an active music educator and performer in the Tucson area for five years and has been teaching privately for eleven years. His education includes SJSU, NAU, and the U of A where he studied music education and saxophone performance from 2016 to 2023. Andrew has performed and participated in professional development around the United States, specializing in chamber music and the instruction of differently abled students. A particular interest of Andrew’s is the modification of instruments and curriculum so that any student can be successful regardless of any perceived limitation. In his years as a private instructor, Andrew has worked with students as young as eight and as old as eighty. Since no two students are alike, Andrew prefers to embrace uniqueness and tailor an original approach for each student, often writing all new materials that suit the student best. He believes that any student can be successful, no matter what.
