About Andrew Meys

Andrew Meys is a multi-instrumentalist from Long Island, New York with a primary focus on bassoon. Holding a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College in Bassoon Performance, Andrew has had access to some of the strongest resources available in the field of music education at his undergraduate institution. Here Andrew was able to further hone saxophone, flute, clarinet, and oboe! With extensive experience in performances in locations such as Lincoln Center and The Kennedy Center, and experience in clinics like NYSBDA and National Flute Association (performing with Dr. Wendy Mehne), Andrew has a broad understanding of performance in many different settings. The teaching style Andrew has adapted for his students focuses heavily on mindfulness to promote a healthy, sustainable relationship with music!
