Get to know Andrew Rodman
Trumpeter Andrew Rodman enjoys a varied career as performer and educator. A native of San Diego, CA, he now calls Los Angeles his home.
Performing in a variety of musical styles, he collaborates with a diverse collection of ensembles. Andrew is a member of the Southern California Brass Consortium, LA Brass Collective, Los Angeles Sinfonietta, Sonora Karnaval, and is also a musician for Orange County Soccer Club games in Irvine, CA. In Orange County he performs with Dana Point Symphony, Symphony Irvine, OC Millennial Orchestra, OC Orchestra Collective, OC Symphony/Wind Ensemble, Sarang Church Orchestra and many more.
Andrew has performed across the US and abroad, for TV, film, radio broadcasts, and recorded for pop artist Michael Bublé. As a soloist he has performed the national anthem at the Rose Bowl, Championship Soccer Stadium, and recently performed the national anthem for a Los Angeles Angels baseball game to a live audience of more than 40,000 (2019).
A former member of the American Youth Symphony and Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra, Andrew is a graduate of the Thornton School of Music at USC. A dedicated educator, Andrew maintains a private studio of pupils of all ages and serves as an adjunct professor of music at California Arts University in Fullerton, CA. In his time away from performing and teaching Andrew enjoys Brazilian jiu jitsu, surfing, and playing chamber music.
