About Andy McLellan

A professsional Master Teacher, Andy has been teaching for over 30 years.  Recipient of the acclaimed "Sallie Mae National First-Year Teacher Award", he's taught in the public school system, home-school co-op programs, as well as private students ranging in age from 6 years to adults.  Multi-faceted, Andy enjoys providing instruction in guitar, bass guitar, trombone, euphonium and trumpet along with some beginning string instruments.  Having earned his music education degree from Grand Canyon University, he's had the opportunity to travel the world and teach in a variety of locations with his wife of 35 years.  Recently returning to Texas, where he was once a member of the All State Symphonic band on trombone, Andy currently performs with the Waco Jazz Orchestra.  Having written, arranged and recorded many instrumental and choral pieces along with original songs, Andy knows how to make learning fun and turn his student's love of music into life-long experiences.
