Get to know Anna Tsukervanik
Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, violinist Anna Tsukervanik has received praise for her "ferocious" and "sensitive" performances. She gave her first solo performance at the age of eight and at fourteen received first prize at the Glazunov International Violin Competition in Paris. She is also the Grand-Prix winner of the International Violin Competition in Alma-Ata Kazakhstan. Anna's solo appearances include her debut recital at the Lyric Chamber Music Society in New York City, as well as performances at the Gunma Youth Symphony Orchestra Festival in Tokyo and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. Anna recently received her Doctor of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University as a student of Philip Setzer and Hagai Shaham. She is a graduate of the Uspensky Specialist Music School, the State Conservatoire of Uzbekistan, and Lynn University.
