Get to know Annastezhaa Curtis

Annastezhaa is a professional violinist, pedal harpist, and kotoist based in Denver, New York, and Los Angeles. Annastezhaa attended the Denver School of the Arts and went on to study with a number of locally and internationally renowned players such as Sterling Trent (violin) and Hillary Schefter (Harp) of the Denver philharmonic.

While in school, Annastezhaa held Principal chair for numerous ensembles, and has excelled in various others, including trios, quartets, chamber ensembles, competitions and festivals.

Annastezhaa is 1/4th of the Denver based band, Ramakhandra, as the harpist and vocalist, and she has performed with her project at every venue in the Denver area from the Cervantes Ballroom to the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater. In between shows and lessons, she works as a session player in New York and Los Angeles.

Annastezhaa has been mentored by and recorded with a number of legendary musical artists such as Derrick Hodge, Brandee Younger, Common, Robert Glasper, Karriem Riggins, Keyon Harrold, and more.

Through out the years, Annastezhaa has had incredible opportunities to uniquely integrate the experiences from her entire musical journey into the ever changing horizon of professional Artistry. This has enabled her to prepare students to not only develop, but achieve and excel in their musical and artistic goals- regardless of age, experience, or aptitude.
