About Annika Limson

Get to know Annika Limson
Annika is a violin and piano instructor who has been
practicing music for almost 20 years. She has been giving private lessons since
2015.
Annika earned her Performing Arts degree, with a concentration
in violin performance, in 2017 and continued her music education at the
University of Rochester & Eastman School of Music. She was the
Concertmaster for Harmony Magnet Academy from 2015-2017. In 2015, she performed
at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Fresno Philharmonic Summer Academy.
Annika has had multiple internships to teach and accompany performers,
including attending the Porterville Strings Camp as a Concertmaster for one
season. She has a lot of orchestral and chamber experience as well as solo
performances. In 2016, she received the Tulare Kings Music Educator's
Association Scholarship (TKMEA) and the Music Award in 2015 at Summit Charter
Collegiate Academy. Annika has been a member of TKMEA Honors Orchestra
(principal 2nd violin and 3rd chair first violin), Kings County Symphony
Orchestra (first violin), Tulare County Symphony Orchestra (first violin 3rd
chair), Harmonix Studio Orchestra (principal first violin, soloist), Lim Family
Duets (violin and piano), University of Rochester Chamber Ensembles (violin),
Harmony Magnet Academy Symphony Orchestra (Concertmaster), Summit Charter
Collegiate Academy Orchestra (Concertmaster), and the Porterville Symphony
Orchestra (first violin). She has played in Pit Orchestras for University of
Rochester's Off Broadway on Campus as well as productions at Harmony Magnet
Academy.
Currently, Annika is attending the Johns Hopkins University
School of Education, studying MS in School & Clinical Mental Health
Counseling. She is doing research in Early Childhood Education and Educational
Leadership. She has been teaching at Ellicott City Music & Arts since
September, 2021!
