She completed her bachelor's of music in viola performance at Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University). She was accepted into both the New Jersey Jr. and Sr. Region I Orchestras and also performed with various local ensembles such as the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra. At Mason Gross School of the Arts, Ashley studied viola under Craig Mumm and Daniel Panner. She frequently performed with the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra and Rutgers String Ensemble. Along with these larger ensembles, she has also performed with three Mason Gross chamber ensembles, which have featured a piano trio, piano quartet, and string quartet. With these varied experiences playing in orchestras as well as conductor-less chamber ensembles, Ashley strives to teach flexibility and ease of access in all areas of string playing.
