      Education: BA Degree in Music Education in Progress.
      Performance Experience: The Copperas Cove Clarinet Choir, Temple College Saxophone Ensemble, Temple College Symphonic Band, Temple College Jazz Ensemble, and several Solo Recitals and Concerts.
      Teaching Experience: Volunteer Student Teacher at Lamar Middle School, Private Lessons for 4 years, Mission Summer Camp Teacher's Aide at Crestview Church, and several pro bono lessons and consultations for ensembles and lesson teachers.
      Teaching Philosophy: Ms. Brooks believes that no student deserves to be discouraged from doing music, for any reason, and that to teach a love for music is equal in importance to technical skill. Every student is unique and deserves an equally unique approach, along with reasonable and attainable goals for each student that still challenges and motivates them.

      Ashlyn Brooks is a teacher of Saxophone, Clarinet, and Piano. Ms. Brooks has taught beginners of all ages to play with a high standard of excellence and love for all things musical. She has taught through learning disabilities and language barriers, and adapts the material and goals to each individual. She has performed in several ensembles at Temple College, Baylor University, and other public venues for jazz and classical ensembles.
