Teaching Philosophy: I believe in a total approach to music learning. I have the luxury to play in an extremely wide variety of ensembles and styles. I believe students should be getting to play not just classical music, but jazz, Broadway, and pop music as well. I also invest time with my students to work on the basic musicianship skills, such as developing ear training or learning music theory, to encourage growth for the entire musician, fostering a joy and understanding of music.
