Performance Experience: Bernadette began performing in piano recitals when she was eight.
She accompanied her school choirs and played for weekly church services in high school. She has attended various camps, such as Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan and Across Bridges Piano Academy in Valencia, Spain, where she also had the opportunity to perform as a solo artist and with other instrumentalists. She has also been recognized for her musical accomplishments through high ratings in solo and duet competitions.
Teaching Experience: Ten years after she began, Bernadette began her teaching career at the Washington Academy of Music in Missouri (the same place her piano career started!). Since moving to Tennessee, she has taught virtual and in-person piano at various studios in both private and group settings.
Teaching Philosophy: As a piano teacher, my philosophy is centered around fostering a love and enjoyment of music, first and foremost. When students are genuinely invested in the music they are playing, they are more likely to be motivated to practice and improve their technical skills.

Originally from St. Louis, Bernadette Comage is a multi-instrumentalist and classically trained pianist with over fifteen years of combined performing and teaching experience. She earned her Associate of Arts and Fine Arts degrees from East Central College in Union, MO, before transferring to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Industry with a concentration in piano and her MBA in Music Business. She currently resides in Murfreesboro, where she teaches piano lessons.
