Teaching Philosophy: Music is a powerful force that speaks to the analytical and emotional sides of our being. Studying an intrument unlocks the analytical understanding of music, and provides the student with a powerful tool for expressing themselves. Music is both a communal and solo art. A solo player can express their deepest thoughts and desires, or walk into a room of fellow musicians and join in through the shared language of music. Learning an instrument unlocks these possiblities.
