Get to know Bill Oliver
Bill retired from First Virginia Bank in 2003 after 25 years as a Computer Programmer, Projact Leader and for the last of those 14 years as a VP/Computer Applications Manager. During and before those years Bill played part time in many bands, opening for numerous national acts and playing in major venues including Wolf Trap, Peer 6 in Baltimore and Lime Kiln in Lexington, VA. After retiring. He began volunteering and then working for New Life Christian Church. Bill started teaching Bass Guitar, Acoustic/Electric Guitar, and Ukulele at Reston Music in November of 2004. Bill is a staple of Reston Music and is well known for his warm personality, patience and passion for guiding students in a musical journey. Bill and his wife Karen will be married for 55 years in January 2023. They have 2 children and are also very loving Grandparents.
