Get to know Bonnie Von Duyke
Bonnie's philosophy: "I believe everyone has an incredible capacity to love and to create. It is my passion to cultivate this in every student. My goal is for us to take a journey together that ultimately leaves both student and teacher as peers, better musicians, and better people."
As a violinist, Bonnie von Duyke, is a teacher, performer, and session musician. Growing up, she performed for her church, community orchestras, chamber ensembles, and played electric violin with local bands. Bonnie was concertmaster for West Chester University Symphony during her Master's. She also led the chamber orchestras and Opera pit in her undergrad at the University of Delaware. She taught college level honors students at UD and WCU. She was Music Director and Orchestra Director at Tome Private School and Strings teacher at The Bender School of Music. Bonnie currently teaches her own private studio of musicians and records remotely for film, TV, and video games like HBO’s “Virtuoso” created by Elton John, Hulu’s “Freakish,” DreamWorks “Spirit,” and the Discovery Channel’s “Alaskan Bush People.” She's also recorded for games as “Memory Match and Catch,” “Rupert and Riley,” and “Age of Blood” all of which were nominated for The Hollywood Music and Media Awards and Global Music Awards.
Miss Bonnie is looking forward to working with students interested in learning to play Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano.
