About Brianna Parry
Get to know Brianna Parry
Brianna is a vocalist and pianist based in the Philadelphia area. She has a wide range of expertise, spanning from French chanson and Debussy classics, to real book standards and 80s rock hits. She is an entertainer at heart, gigging whenever the opportunity presents itself and she encourages her students to have fun with music, as she loves to herself.
She has been involved with music for her whole life, starting piano at the age of 7, and it only took her three years before she was accompanying choirs for her school. She went on to join in other areas of music, which introduced her to singing and placing highly in various PMEA Choir festivals. Going to college, she couldn’t stick to one track and almost triple majored in piano, percussion, and voice. She graduated with 3 Downbeat Awards under her belt, along with a B.A. in Music Performance with a focus in Voice, and a minor in Jazz Studies.
She has studied with a variety of teachers in her time including Dr. Maria Asteriadou on piano, Dr. Yvonne Robinson on classical voice, and Cathy Chemi on jazz voice. She wants to encourage her students that music is all subjective, and it isn’t always about what it on paper. It is up to the musician to put their own heart and soul into their instrument and only then can they produce beautiful music.
