Get to know Cainan Grier
A dynamic actor, vocalist, and musician lauded for his versatility on both the stage and in the classroom, Cainan Grier is one of the up and coming musicians of our time.
Beginning his journey into the entertainment field, Cainan Grier ran the school wide tv-production and journalism programs at both his elementary and middle schools before eventually venturing into the world of live theatre. During his formative high school years, Cainan performed, assisted the music director and did sound engineering for over 15 productions. Cainan also began receiving intensive classical vocal instruction from renowned vocalist and educator Marlena Tuchinsky and teaching music theory to local middle and high school students. Through Marlena’s help, Cainan has built up an immense repertoire of pop, gospel, classical, jazz and Hebrew catalogues.
Since graduating from his high school program, Cainan attended Berklee College of Music where he studied vocal performance. While attending Berklee, Cainan has received instruction from renowned artists Cassandre McKinley and Dennis Montgomery III as well as a mentorship with gospel artist Kim Burrell. Through interactions at Berklee, Cainan has shared the stage with artist such as Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, James Fortune and Take 6.
