Get to know Charles Sanchez
Charles Sanchez graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelors of Music Degree in Music Education. While at Belmont, he served as Flute section leader for the Belmont University Wind Ensemble, Belmont Symphony Orchestra, and New Music Ensemble. Charles also participated in Jazz Band II, playing the Alto Saxophone. He had the privilege of playing as a featured soloist with the Belmont Wind Ensemble and was chosen as a soloist for Belmont's accreditation with the National Association of Schools of Music. Since graduating, Charles has been active as a music teacher in the Nashville area. He has taught Flute and Saxophone lessons, served as a woodwinds sectional teacher through side-by-side in the public schools, and has subbed for several band directors. During the summers, Charles keeps busy by serving as a woodwind sectional teacher, band tech and counselor at several camps including the Belmont Summer Wind Camp, Antioch High School Band Camp, and Springfield High School Marching Band Camp. He has also served as House Manager for the Tennessee Arts Academy. As a teacher, it is Charles' goal to create a safe and comfortable learning environment for his students.
