Born into a very musical family, Chris got his start playing piano at eight but gravitated to the drum set soon after and has stayed busy practicing, gigging, and teaching ever since. A veteran of marching percussion and a graduate of Texas State University and the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas, Chris’ pursuit of music has spanned multiple genres including jazz, funk, rock, country, pop, metal, and numerous Latin styles. He exudes a passion for music in all of his lessons and loves sharing the immensely diverse benefits of a musical education with his students, young and old.
