Get to know Christina Denton
Christina loves both teaching and music. She began offering piano lessons while still in high school, and has now been teaching in studio and classroom settings for over ten years. She has taught students ranging in age from five to adult, and in ability level from beginner to early advanced. As an instructor, she works with each student to design a program of instruction that will help them meet their musical goals. She is straightforward with each student about what is needed to progress while offering encouragement and celebrating growth.
Christina graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a BA in Art & Performance
concentrating in piano. She plays regularly for church events and always has projects which she
is working on. She enjoys the work of composers from the Romantic Era, especially Grieg,
Debussy, and Mendelssohn, as well as that of modern film score composers such as Klaus
Badelt, Howard Shore, and Ludwig Göransson.
