Performance Experience: Studied jazz, improvisation, pop-classical fusion and American Old Time fiddling on the cello. She has performed in many intimate and large settings across a diverse range of genres (regional orchestras, operas, pop venues, off-broadway, singer-songwriters) in the US and the EU. Masterclass experience includes Yo-Yo Ma, Daedalus Quartet, Tim Stolzenberg, Michael Haber and Geoffrey Burgess.
Teaching Experience: Private cello instruction, chamber group coaching, music theory instruction, and historical performance in the United States and the EU.
Teaching Philosophy: I concentrate on how to develop and maintain hand shape and left arm postures that facilitate agility and deter excessive force and tension on the fingerboard. Bow technique is equally as important. Left and right hand independence is essential to success. All practicing must be accompanied by the use of a mirror to ensure your technique is firmly established and maintained.
