Teaching Philosophy: Everyone is capable of creating amazing music, they just need some guidance to get there! My goal as a teacher is to help facilitate a fun and friendly environment for students to take charge of their passions and grow as musicians.
Get to know Christina Ortiz
Christina Ortiz is a classically trained vocalist originating from Austin, Texas. Although Christina has trained in a classical style, she also enjoys expanding her knowledge to other genres from musical theatre to contemporary commercial music (pop, rock, etc). Christina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and her Kodály Certification from Texas State University, teaching elementary music in the central Texas area before receiving her Masters in Vocal Performance from George Mason University. Since moving to Virginia in 2019, Christina has been teaching private voice and piano lessons in the Northern Virginia area.
