About Chris Clark

Get to know Chris Clark
Born and raised in Appalachia, Chris Clark has been playing music has been playing and writing music for 25 years. He plays multiple saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, upright bass, electric bass, guitar, and piano.
Chris attended Marshall University where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies from Marshall University, where he studied with Ed Bingham and Jeff Wolfe. He attended graduate school at The University of Louisville where he heard a coveted graduate teaching assistantship. His principal teacher there were John La Barbera, Mike Tracy, and Chris Fitzgerald. Chris has also studied privately with Grammy winner Bob Reynolds, Marcus Strickland, Sharel Cassidy, Antonio Hart, Lionel Loueke, Nathan Nabb, and others.
He has been performing in various venues since the age of 16. His performing career has taken him to Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, France, and even Carnegie Hall in New York City. He has performance with Mike Dillon, Eddie Gomez, Lou Donaldson, Joe La Barbera, Pat La Barbera, John La Babera Antonio Hart, Chris Vadala, Chamber Orchestra, Sherrie Miracle,Bucky Pizzarelli, Eugene "Snooky" Young, and Houston Person to name a few.
Chris has taught at the University of Louisville, Marshall University, and West Virginia State University. He continues to teach privately and perform regularly and as guest artist and educator.
