About Chris

I was first introduced to music when I was 11 years old. My great-grandfather played guitar all of his life, and he taught me my first guitar lessons. I began playing trumpet in school band shortly after. I continued to play guitar and trumpet throughout middle school, high school, and college. I realized I wanted to make a career in music when I was 17, and I worked hard at honing my craft. I started my music degree at South Plains college, where I earned an associates degree in music performance/education, as well as a certificate in commercial music. I transferred to Lubbock Christian University, where I completed my degree. 

During my time as a guitarist I have played many different genres of music, but I fell in love with Jazz during my first year in college and it has been my focus ever since. I also have strong focus in rock, metal, classical style, and blues music. I enjoy playing guitar, teaching guitar, writing music, and recording music. In my free time I like cooking, woodwork, and spending time with my wife and my dog.
