Performance Experience: I've played in jazz, classical, and popular ensembles since 2017. In that time, I've performed in such venues as Chris' Jazz Cafe, the Ritz Carlton, the Stone Pony, and various small stages from Maryland to New York.
Teaching Experience: I've taught private lessons in the Montgomery County area, primarily to younger students, since 2019.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe that a beautiful sound, proper breathing, and flexibility on the instrument are the foundations of any great brass music, in any genre.
Get to know Conor McElroy
I'm a graduate of the University of the Arts, class of 2021, and currently studies at West Chester University in pursuit of a K-12 music teaching certification. I've played the trombone for 12 years and worked as a freelance musician and eduator for the last 5 years. My specialty is jazz performance, but I've studied classical brass pedagogy and music theory as well.
