Teaching Philosophy: I tailor each lesson to the individual student. Whether the lesson is focused on learning music for a grade in class, building technique, preparing for an audition, or learning solo works for performance in other venues, each lesson is spent placing focus on what each specific student needs. We work on skills through method and etude books, learning scales, and repertoire that will enhance and grow each student through their endeavors and build a love for music.
Get to know Courtney Wallace
Hi, I'm Courtney Wallace and I am accepting new students for my flute and piccolo studio! I began playing flute in 1995 and fell in love with it immediately. I participated in District Honor Band and All-State Band and Orchestra, Solo and Ensemble, and marching band, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in 2008, with a major in Flute Performance, from Georgia State University.
My background in music performance has included things from indoor bands and orchestras to small ensembles, football and basketball bands, jazz ensembles, church orchestras, and wedding performances.
Whether your goal is to learn your band music more completely, learn to play music you hear on the radio, prepare for auditions, or build a repertoire for weddings, parties, and other performances, I would love to help you to meet your goals. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, working on developing techniques to build skills appropriate for growth.
