Performance Experience: Starting in high school I performed with the Ocean County College Community Band. I then became a member of the Georgian Court University Concert and Jazz bands as well as Chorale. After graduation I chose to focus most of my energy on instructing, however in my free time I enjoy working with Lakewood Jazz, and performing in the Lakewood Municipal Band.
Teaching Experience: I have been teaching and tutoring for over ten years. I began as a peer tutor in high school and during college became an assistant classroom teacher. After graduation I became a lead teacher. I have worked with the Lakewood Recreation Summer Band Camp, The Guitar Shop in Howell and at various private schools through Fundamental Music Instruction, and currently work for Music and Arts in Toms River.
Teaching Philosophy: Every student can learn, and as a teacher I will do everything possible to ensure the highest quality educational experience. I have a student centered philosophy.

Hello my name is Crystal Lees Garrow and teaching music is one of my life's greatest passions. I have taught band since 2013, while working towards my Bachelor of Arts Degree at Georgian Court University . After gaining my degree in 2016 I expanded into vocal and orchestral music as well. I have experience teaching with all age groups. My philosophy on teaching is that education should be student-centered, I always like to focus on the goals a student finds most interesting.
