Get to know Cyril Bodnar, DMA
Cyril Bodnar, DMA has been a fervent trumpet player for over 20 years. He currently holds a Doctorate in Music Performance from Rutgers University - New Brunswick, a Master's Degree in Performance from Rutgers, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Performance from Ithaca College. Dr. Bodnar has performed as a guest artist and soloist for the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, the Cornell University Wind Symphony, Rutgers University Symphony Orchestra, Imperial Brass Band, as well as local organizations such as the American Legion Band of the Tonawandas and the Buffalo Niagara Concert Band. He has also been a first runner up in the 2021 Charleston International Music Competition and a finalist for the 2011 YouTube Symphony Orchestra. Over the years, Dr. Bodnar has studied and performed with multiple influential trumpeters, including Kim Dunnick, Frank Campos, Chris Martin, David Krauss, Matthew Muckey, Kenneth DeCarlo, and Philip and Derek Smith.
