About Dana Brown

Get to know Dana Brown
I recently graduated from The University of the Arts with my B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. I have spent the last 4 summers training children in musical theatre voice at the Rising Star Academy in Red Bank, NJ and most recently at Broadway Artists Alliance in NYC. I have studied privately with Tony Winner Lindsay Mendez for 5+ years as well as taking sessions at Actor Therapy, Broadway Artists Alliance and Camp Broadway. I am currently enrolled in New York Vocal Coaching's Voice Teacher Training & Certification program studying the voice and vocal pedagogy. My favorite credits include Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), Dorothy Brock (42nd Street), Clarice (Acedia), Katie Nanna (Mary Poppins), and most recently Woman #1 in Showtune: Celebrating the Music and Lyrics of Jerry Herman in NYC which was sadly cancelled because of COVID.
My father actually got me into performing. He was on the Board of Trustees at our local community theater in Red Bank, NJ. Ever since I saw what he could do and how he could make people laugh on stage, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I grew up in the theater experiencing every aspect of it from lighting to taking the last bow. Being able to learn from such wonderful people has inspired me to share this amazing gifts with other young artists. I hope you love Musical Theater just as much as I do but if you don’t know a lot about it…don’t worry, that’s what I’m for! Can’t wait to get started!
