Get to know Dandrick Glenn

from Shelby, North Carolina, Dandrick Glenn is a versatile bass and tenor
trombonist. He credits his mother's singing in the church choir as his first
and greatest musical influence. Mr. Glenn enjoys a diverse career as a
performer and educator. He is the Applied Low Brass professor at Fayetteville
State University. He also serves as a low brass musician with the 553rd Air
National Guard Band of the Northeast and musical director of the unit's New
Orleans style brass band "Flightline." Mr. Glenn served as a bass and
tenor trombonist with the Band of USAF Reserve, USAF Band of the Pacific-Asia,
and the USAF Heritage of America Band. Mr. Glenn’s performance credits include
Celine Dion, Johnny Mathis, Ce Ce Winans, Randy Brecker, Ernie Watts, Rene' Marie,
the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and other artists. He has also performed for
Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and for numerous foreign and American
dignitaries. Mr. Glenn is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a
Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance with a second major in Journalism and
Mass Communications. He continued graduate study in Music Performance at DePaul
University followed by graduating with a Master of Music in Education from
Norfolk State University. His primary instructors include Charles Vernon, Mark
Fisher, Michael Kris, and Paul Adams. Mr. Glenn is an artist/educator with
Cannonball Musical Instruments and plays Giddings Mouthpieces.
