Get to know Daniel Venglar
Daniel Venglar began playing the trumpet 13 years ago, starting at age 12. Upon graduating high school, he went on to pursue his Bachelor’s of Music at the New England Conservatory of Music, where he would study with Benjamin Wright (2nd trumpet of the Boston Symphony Orchestra) and Steven Emery. Daniel’s Postgraduate studies would take place at the Royal College of Music in London, England where he earned a Master’s of Performance, under the tutelage of Jason Evans, Kate Moore, Niall Keatley, James Fountain, Alan Thomas, and Mark Calder. During his time in London, Daniel would also perform at the Royal Albert Hall in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. Outside of the USA and UK, Daniel has also performed in international music festivals such as PRISMA, Saluzzo Opera Academy, Berlin Opera Academy, and the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (LFCO.) Daniel also had the opportunities to perform with the Kammerorchester Unter Der Linde with the Deustche Scandinvasiche Jugden Orchester in the Berlin Philharmonie, the International Ensemble Modern’s Hans Zender Akadamie (IEMA,) the South Asian Symphony Orchestra Foundation (SASO), and the Longwood Symphony Orchestra. Daniel can also be heard on Spotify as principal trumpet in the Montreal based Orchestre de la Francophonie’s Chandos Records release of orchestral music by Airat Ichmouratov.As of now, Daniel has returned to the USA to begin teaching music full-time in the Houston area and the gulf coast region.
