Get to know David Wilson
David G. Wilson has been a professional musician since the 9th grade when he played electric bass in a band playing in Service Clubs at Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force Base, NJ. He has studied saxophone with Bruce Ronkin and Saxophone and Composition with William A. Humenay. He has also attended workshops with the Rascher Saxophone Quartet and taken private instruction with members Bruce Weinberger, Kenneth Coon and Christina Rall. David was a founding member of the groups RASA, LUMP, Garden State Composers Forum, Joel Thome's World Sound, and the Youth Saxophone Orchestra and Charlottesville Albemarle. David has performed Contemporary Classical music and Free Improvised music since 1978 in NYC, Philadelphia, Greensboro, Birmingham, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Milwaukee, and Charlottesville.
