Get to know Dee McDuffie
Deanna "Dee" McDuffie attended Arizona State University on a full tuition Viola Scholarship. Dee also received a full tuition scholarship to attend Northern Arizona University, however, she chose ASU- Arizona State due to the high level of Master Music Professors available as well as the opportunity to perform with a symphony in an acoustically perfect auditorium built by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Dee has the opportunity to study with Professor Gabriel Gruber, graduate of Julliard. Dee began violin lessons at the age of 8 and then transferred to viola soon after. Dee has been fortunate to play in symphony orchestras all over the U.S. including The Anchorage Symphony (Anchorage Alaska) Richardson Symphony, (Richardson, Texas) Arizona State University Symphony. Dee has had a life long love for all types of music and enjoys performing with local bands and guitarist for local Charleston venues. Dee's daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren live in Charleston . Dee truly enjoys teaching the amazing fine art of playing violin and viola. She hopes to continue to help new students discover the joy of string arts for a very long time.
