Get to know Diana Berry
Diana Berry is a violinist from Colombia, South America that studied under master violinist Gonzalo Ospina for twenty-three years. She teaches fluently in Spanish and English. Berry started playing violin at the age of eight and has been playing since then for over thirty-five years. During her musical experiences in Colombia, she played with philharmonic orchestras and was a violinist in national Colombian music competitions.
Diana Berry continued her violin studies in Aiken, South Carolina under violinist Laura Tomlin and performed as a first violinist at the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra in Greenville, South Carolina for over two years.
Diana also participated in theatrical musical performances, church performances and is currently a violinist and President of the Aiken Civic Orchestra board of directors. Diana is an advocate for musical education and arts. Berry’s passion for teaching violin makes her a great educator. Diana believes in teaching with a unique and personal approach and customizes her teaching method depending on the needs of each student. Diana also enjoys dancing. Additionally, she teaches Zumba fitness and supports students to get healthy through music and dance.
