Dylan J. Rausch is an accomplished American tenor currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Opera Performance at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he studies under the guidance of Dr. Bille Bruley. He holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2024) and a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Northern State University (2022).
A highly regarded performer and competitor, Rausch was awarded first place in the 2021-22 Concerto/Aria Competition and earned the distinction of runner-up at the South Dakota NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Competition. His operatic repertoire is both expansive and diverse, with standout roles including Harlequin in Der Kaiser von Atlantis, Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance, King Kaspar in Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro. He has also performed in a variety of opera scenes, including “O soave fanciulla” from La Bohème, “Refrain Audacious Tar” from H.M.S. Pinafore, “O Sole Mio,” “Im Feuerstrom der Reben” from Die Fledermaus, and “Libiamo, ne’ lieti calici” from La Traviata in the acclaimed production A Night at the Opera. Additionally, Rausch has covered the roles of Don José and El Remendado in Carmen.
Rausch’s vocal and artistic development has been further enhanced through participation in masterclasses with distinguished figures in the operatic world, including Kamal Khan, Lewis Ehlers, Carlos Tagle, Manfred Mayhoffer, and Sarah Brailey. His technical prowess, musicality, and versatility continue to establish him as a rising talent within the opera community.
