      Get to know Emily Berkemeyer

      Emily Berkemeyer, a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been studying and performing string instruments for over 14 years. An experienced and patient teacher with seven years of experience, she fosters a creative and welcoming environment for all her students to begin or enhance a lifelong relationship with music. As a violist, Emily has performed with the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Orchestra, the Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts, in Pit Orchestra, Chamber Groups, the Long Island String Festival Association and many more performance groups. As such, she urges her students to learn for their own enjoyment and the ability to experience performing music for an audience.
