About Emily Javarone

Get to know Emily Javarone
Dr. Emily Javarone began studying the violin at the age of six. She was born in New York, raised in Colorado, and now resides in Charleston, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance in 2015 from the University of Northern Colorado under the tutelage of Dr. Jubal Fulks. Emily was the winner of the University of Northern Colorado concerto competition, and the Southard Award during her time there. Emily received her Masters of Music in violin performance from SUNY Purchase studying under Deborah Buck of the Lark Quartet. Emily was a member of the graduate string quartet at SUNY Purchase. Emily also received her Artist Diploma at SUNY Purchase. Emily is a recent graduate of Florida State University, where she studied under Dr. Benjamin Sung. She completed her Doctorate of Music in violin performance in July of 2021. Emily has attended many summer festivals including Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Manchester Music Festival, Taconic Music Festival, and Brevard Music Festival. Emily played regularly with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, among others.
