About Emma Phelps

Emma Phelps is a dynamic flutist, educator, and arts administrator based in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has performed in many ensembles and venues across North Carolina and Wisconsin, and regularly works with composers on premiering new works for flute. She has taught students of all ages in private lessons, clinics, and masterclasses at local schools and summer camps. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Flute Performance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she studies with Dr. Erika Boysen. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2023, where she studied with Dr. Cristina Ballatori and was the winner of the 2022 UW-W Concerto Competition.
