About Francisco Castillo

My musical journey began with Guitar Hero 3 in 8th grade. I started self-taught and later took private lessons from Thomas Erak and Phil Lawson in 2015. I’m passionate about composers like Thomas Erak, Ruban Nielson, and Heitor Villa-Lobos, and I love learning all the instrumental parts of my favorite songs. With minors in music and psychology, and guitar as my primary instrument, I studied vocals, piano, upright bass, and drumset privately for a year during college. I teach guitar, bass, ukulele, beginner piano, beginner drumset, theory, composition, technique, sight reading, practice tips, and ear training to students of all ages, with lessons available in Spanish. In my free time, I enjoy skateboarding, Marvel Comics, teas, nature and studying Villa-Lobos.
