Performance Experience: Gabe has been creating and performing music for over eight years. He has performed in various venues, from local churches to intimate cafe concerts to spontaneous street shows.
Teaching Experience: Over four years of experience teaching vocals, piano and songwriting to kids and adults, both in private and class settings.
Teaching Philosophy: Music is a language. It's not something that is merely performed for applause. Its sole purpose is to communicate emotion and ideas, much like how English is used today. My approach to teaching music is based on context. Instead of relying purely on repetitive exercise that isn't based on how we actually "speak" with music, I ask the students questions like, "why is the melody of this song so catchy?" This helps the students immediately understand the importance of what's being taught.
